As a DJ, promoter, curator, and the visionary behind the renowned African Acid Is The Future label and party, Maryisonacid's musical journey is a captivating fusion of diasporic African rhythms, infectious electronic beats, and techno vibes. Her eclectic upbringing, spanning from the vibrant streets of Paris Barbès to the punk-infused atmosphere of Berlin, has left an indelible mark on her unique approach to DJing.

Since her arrival in Berlin in 2010, Maryisonacid has graced the decks of numerous clubs, both within Europe and around the world. With a record collection that dates back to her early teens, she embodies the essence of a walking musical encyclopedia, readily sharing her vast knowledge on sweaty dancefloors and within cultural institutions alike.

She fuses everyday objects and the ambient sounds of her surroundings to weave intricate, textured soundscapes that are both deeply personal and universally resonant. Margaux's sonic adventures led her to the vibrant streets of Hanoi, where she began capturing the essence of her daily life through field recordings.
